To ensure enduring excellence, we need the strongest talent representing the broadest perspectives. To attract that talent, we need to embrace diversity and inclusion.
The best workplaces are those where all employees have an equal opportunity to succeed, which is why NAIOP and Prologis designed a scholarship program to prepare women and minorities for development and operations positions in commercial real estate. "NAIOP is proud to partner with Prologis to establish a program that brings diverse voices and outlooks into to the commercial real estate industry," said Thomas J. Bisacquino, NAIOP president and CEO. "We’ve long held the position that diversity enriches business and the industry as a whole, and we’re confident that the educational opportunities the scholarship recipients receive through NAIOP will guide their knowledge as they build their careers."
"The selection process revealed an incredible depth of candidate skills and backgrounds," said Kim Snyder, president of Prologis’ West Region and NAIOP vice chair for membership. "At Prologis, we are working to create a robust pipeline of diverse commercial real estate professionals in the industry. We are thrilled these individuals will sharpen their industry knowledge through NAIOP’s outstanding education courses and participate in I.CON, the industry’s most prominent industrial conference."
As part of the program, each recipient will earn a certificate of advanced study in commercial real estate development after completing a comprehensive curriculum built on a body of knowledge critical to success in the development industry and delivered through courses in the NAIOP Center for Education. Recipients will also travel to I.CON: The Industrial Conference, June 7-8 in New Jersey, where they’ll meet with mentors and network with more than 700 industrial real estate leaders.
