Shenyang’s major industries include autos, chemicals, construction and equipment manufacturing. Recently, Shenyang has begun to develop less resource-intensive industries, such as information technology. Shenyang has also started to recruit non-state-owned companies.
Industry is the primary driver of logistics and distribution demand in Shenyang. The city is an important railway hub, connecting the rail networks of Northeast China to the rest of the country. Trains move products and supplies from industrial properties and warehouses in Shenyang to the northeast ports of Dalian and Yinkgou, about 250 miles away.
