Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel

Deborah Briones is chief legal officer and general counsel of Prologis. Briones is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of all legal services of the global business, including corporate, real estate, Strategic Capital, Essentials, Energy and Mobility transactions, corporate governance, government affairs, legal operations, and technology and innovation.

A member of the company’s Executive Committee, Briones plays a key role in Prologis’ strategic initiatives, including mergers & acquisitions, global investment funds and portfolio transactions. She helps shape and nurture the company’s culture. This includes ensuring that employees are familiar with and complying with the company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

Before her appointment to chief legal officer in January 2025, Briones served as managing director and deputy general counsel of Prologis, where she was responsible for leading the corporate, energy, mobility, Essentials and Latin America legal teams and government affairs initiatives at the company.

A 20-year veteran of the company, Briones started with AMB Property Corporation, Prologis’ predecessor, in 2004. Briones has been a part of the company’s boldest moves, which have positioned it as the largest player in the logistics real estate sector.

Previously, Briones was a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins in San Francisco, CA where she represented AMB for years before joining the company.

Briones is a member of the Prologis Ventures Investment Committee, director of the Prologis Foundation and a member of the Technical Committee of Prologis FIBRA, the governing body of one of the largest publicly traded real estate companies in Mexico.

Briones received her Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley – School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts with honors from Yale University.
