In the aftermath of the hurricanes in the U.S. and Caribbean, plus the devastating earthquakes in Mexico, the Prologis Foundation made a $150,000 donation to the American Red Cross and is matching up to $50,000 in total employee donations. In addition, Prologis has donated 364,000 square feet of available warehouse space to help support recovery efforts—including 250,000 square feet to the American Red Cross—in Orlando and 32,000 square feet to the Texas Tactical Policy Officers Association in Houston.
As soon as the imminent danger had passed, local teams actively engaged in damage assessment, clean up and repairs. Many Prologis colleagues are impacted by these events, but all employees, customers and employees of customers are safe and accounted for. Prologis' local offices are fully operational, and they are helping customers return to their facilities and repair any damages.
Except for one roof in Florida, Prologis has had no reports of major damage. Several properties in Houston and Florida have experienced some minor to moderate damage—from downed trees to small roof leaks—and the diligent operations team is working to repair any issues.
Our customers in Mexico are all safe. Structural reviews of our properties will be ongoing; however, the buildings inspected during the initial checks appear to be in good condition.
Prologis and its customers are quickly getting back to business. Our hearts go out to the many people affected by these disasters, and we will continue to offer our support, uniting together to help our employees, customers and communities in times of need.
