Carter Andrus is chief operating officer for Prologis and serves on the company’s executive committee. In this role, he is responsible for the global strategy of Prologis’ real estate operations, including its core real estate portfolio comprising 1.2 billion square feet, and capital deployment activities across the 20 countries in which Prologis operates. He is integral to driving innovation at Prologis, including through data analytics and AI.
Previously, Andrus was global head of operations, where he was responsible for all aspects of the company's real estate operations and the regional team’s responsibilities for ancillary business functions such as Essentials. Prior to that, Andrus was president of Prologis’ Central Region, where he led the region’s development, acquisition and operation activities. He earlier held several senior leadership roles for the Central Region, including capital deployment and operations. He has extensive experience in industrial real estate investment strategy, operations and people management.
Before joining Prologis in 2008, he was a senior vice president at Colliers International in Chicago.
Andrus is a former president and executive board member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) Chicago Chapter. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Michigan.
